writing for workshop

Would you like to write an article for workshop? Writing articles can be an effective way to let the community know about your experience and talents, with links back to your web site and email address.

Articles should be 1 to 3 pages in length (longer articles can be broken into series), and you can include a brief 1 or 2 sentence bibliography, along with your name, email address and web site.

We're looking for articles on all the different aspects of using the internet and developing and having a web site, such as (but not limited to):

* What you need to consider when selecting an ISP or web host
* What you need to consider before creating your own web site
* How to select a good web developer and how to find one
* Web development products/tools and other resources
* HTML/DTML ??
* Promoting your web site on the internet
* Promoting your product(s) on the internet
* Advertising and banner ads
* Mailing lists
* Developing your own online store
* Online order processing
* Online payment processing
* Search engine submission
* Software distribution sites
* Software submission products
and anything else we haven't thought of...

Articles may be about a specific subject or discuss a broad range of topics, and should be written in a clear, easy to follow manner.

Your audience will be a combination of individuals, web masters and web developers from a wide range of industries and all with differing abilities. Therefore articles should cater for people with different interests and skill levels, that is, we will accept articles written for people with basic Internet and web experience, and as well as articles aimed at people with advanced or professional skills.

Articles selected for inclusion in workshop may be highlighted on the main page of the Riada web site, and may be featured in issues of our ClubRiada newsletter along with a link back to your web site and email address.

We will let you know via email whether or not your article has been selected for inclusion in RiadaWorkshop, and articles may undergo minor editing for readability purposes.
